Tarot-Astro Column

by Liz Westerhof, July 2001
Card 10 - The Wheel of Fortune

In the corners of this card you see four images - the bull, the lion, the eagle and an angel. They are symbols of earth, fire, air and water and represent the psychological functions of feeling, intellect, emotion and intuition. These must be balanced before you can understand the turning of the wheel. This card indicates changes and new cycles. Upright it can mean that it is time to make changes, take a gamble or make plans to travel.

Marriage potential, new and more creative opportunities for growth, an unexpected turn of luck or the beginning of a new cycle in one’s affairs. The negative meaning of this card is bad luck. An unexpected setback in some enterprise or a change of conditions into something more challenging. A period of opposition, frustration or a demand for extra energy, for attention to some particular problem or affair. Perhaps some inability to understand the movement of life, how changes occur on so many levels, suddenly influencing the whole. But changes are not happening now. Take care of health and diet.

I’ll be in Paros on 1st July, so you can phone me for an appointment. See you then!
