You may have read in the international press lately that many people in Argentina have joined bartering schemes as a way to provide for their needs during that country's current economic crisis. This illustrates how when cash or credit is not available, each person still has goods and skills that have a value and can be traded.

Offering your skills or services to our local community through the PEGASUS bartering system can benefit everyone by raising the overall skill level of the community as well as creating wealth so that you and others can afford to "buy" skills and services that you might not otherwise be able to using only the common exchange mechanism of money.

It costs nothing to join, so please take a moment and consider what you might offer or what you need that could be included in the PEGASUS scheme. Remember that most people have a lot more time available during the winter months to help one another, so contact us on 02840-42092 to join NOW.

If you are already a PEGASUS subscriber, you will have received a letter last month regarding the annual audit. As requested, please either fax to 02840-42092 or post a photocopy of your account book to Paros Life at PO Box 112 by the end of February in order for this audit to be completed.
The current list of PEGASUS needs & offers is as follows:

Chef (organising & cooking for dinner parties), homework help, babysitting (Paroikia & Marpissa areas),personalised cards, typing, personal training, gardening, house-sitting, architectural advice, dog clipping, language lessons (English, German, Greek, Spanish, French & Italian), computer lessons, cooking lessons, silk painting, interior decorating, upholstery.
