Balloonland, Paroikia
After spending a number of years teaching Italian in Thessaloniki, Angeliki Sifneos opened Balloonland - a new indoor children's playground in Paroikia - together with her sister Marina last year.

She had seen how the concept of the indoor play area had been successfully introduced in Thessaloniki - the first place in Greece to adopt this idea from other European countries. As she loves working with children and saw that there was a need for such facilities on Paros, she and Marina teamed up to create this new and extremely useful service in Paroikia.

Located on the left-hand side (going towards Aliki) just off the Peripheriako a few metres past Ghikas hardware shop, Angeliki and Marina have made maximum use of the available space. The play area uses most of the indoor space for the bouncy castle and other games and activities, but there is still room for adults to sit and enjoy coffee either indoors or on the outdoor terrace in warmer weather.

Offering a childminding service at only 2.20 Euro per hour, Balloonland is the ideal solution for busy parents who can safely leave their child or children in Angeliki and Marina's care for a couple of hours while they do the shopping in town. It's also the perfect place for kids' parties or to meet a friend for coffee while the children play.
