Molos Harbour

One of the first tasks of our new Eparchos, Grigoria Protolati, who took office at the beginning of January, was to call a meeting to discuss the progress of plans to build a harbour for trade vessels (not for passengers) at Molos.

The Central Archaeological Committee (KAS) met on 14th January with the participation of Member of Parliament for the Cyclades, Elisabeth Papazoi, Mrs Mavriki from the Ministry of the Environment & Public Works (YPEXODE), Mrs Kazazi from the Department of Harbour Works, Mr Panagopoulos from the construction company and Mr Rigas, President of the Council of the Prefecture (Nomarchia).

The majority of those present at the meeting voted to go ahead with the work and the Eparchos will now be working together with the Municipality of Paros to ensure that work commences on the Molos harbour as well as to expedite all other work that is needed for our island.

Grigoria Protolati thanks all those who attended this meeting for their participation.
