Jewellery Workshop, Market St, Paroikia, Paros
Art Education I started goldsmith work in the family business at the age of eight. I apprenticed for 8 years in Athens and in Canada for 7 years. In 1982 I opened my own workshop together with my nephew Yannis Xenos, where we specialise in designing handmade jewellery.
Place of Residence Paros
Relationship to Paros
My father was from Paros, so my roots are here. I hope one day for Paros to regain the reputation it had in antiquity as the island of art and culture. I believe that each one of us, by uniting our efforts, can support the municipality’s important endeavours in this direction. I hope to do my part to make a difference through my membership in IPAC.
How the artist describes his work
Running a shop and living from my profession as a goldsmith and jewellery designer, I never thought of myself as an artist. Others assure me, however, that I am! I certainly enjoy exchanging ideas about all aspects of art with other IPAC members.
