Front page: Thirty unknown verses written by the lyrical poet Archilochos were discovered by professors of the University of Oxford, according to the article published in the national newspaper Ta Nea and other newspapers worldwide. This important discovery has stimulated preparations for the international conference on Archilochos that is planned for October 2005 in Paros.
Article pointing out the benefits of the Municipal organisation responsible for the development of tourism. The board members have met several times to plan publicity of the island for the upcoming tourist season.
The association of café and restaurant owners held its general assembly on 19/4. One of the main issues discussed was the rates paid to the Municipality and whether or not the association should support the union of hotel owners requesting the implementation of the law concerning the seasonality of their businesses and consequently the seasonality of the rates. Other issues discussed were the new tax regulations that affect small businesses.
A fire broke out in Naoussa on 13/4 close to the electricity plant. 200 sq. meters were burned before it was successfully extinguished by the local fire brigade.
Pages 4-5: On Tuesday 19/4 cement blocks were placed in the bay of Naoussa for the construction of the anchorage. Present were local authorities such as Nomarchis Bailas, Eparchos Protolati, Vice-Mayor Gavalas and the president of the local council of Naoussa Mr Hatzopoulos.
Vice-mayor Stratis Pavlakis lists the actions and projects planned by the Municipality for the improvement of the traditional section of Paroikia, in response to the critical article written by Stratis Telloglou in the previous edition.
In reply to MPs Kouveli and Levendi concerning the transportation of patients by boat, the Minister of Mercantile Marine stated that boats are obliged to accommodate patients in cabins if there is no other appropriate accommodation. However this does not apply for the fast boats (e.g. High Speed). The minister added that young doctors performing their practice in medicine will be placed on board.
Expired products were found and confiscated in twenty out of thirty shops inspected by the police in recent days.

Front Page: Article welcoming the visitors who chose Paros for the Greek Easter holiday, with information about sites to see and things to do.
Crew and journalists of the TV channels Mega, Star and Alpha arrived on Paros before Easter. Interviews with Mayor Rangoussis and actress Sophia Aliberti were shown on Star Channel, beautiful images of Paros were shown on Alpha, and Mega channel announced the cultural events to be held on Paros during the summer season.
An evening in honour of Efthimios Mavris was organised on 23/4 at the Archilochos Hall.
Pages 2-3: The members of the Association "Friends of Paros" organised a concert in Brussels to promote the island as an excellent tourist destination.
The students of the Lyceum of Paroikia completed a project concentrating on equality and equal rights, organised in the schools of Paros and Naxos by the Research Centre responsible for promoting equality between the sexes.
Seminars for lifeguards were held in April by the Pan-Hellenic Lifeguard Organisation.

The national windsurfing team trained with Olympic medallist Nikos Kaklamanakis on Paros on 25/4-2/5, with the participation of young Parian athlete Stefanos Leonetti-Fisilanis.
