On Monday, 15th August, Paros celebrates the great festival of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary ("Koimoisis tis Theotokou" or "falling asleep of the Virgin Mary") at the Church of the Ekatontapyliani in Paroikia.
Ingbert Brunk, the German sculptor who lives and works on Naxos and whose work appears in two exhibitions in Paros this August, first came to the island as a tourist in 1982.
The Costas Lefkochir & Maria Vlanti originally slated to end on 30th July, will now continue until 16th August. And opening at 8.30 on Friday, 19th August and running until September 4th is the exhibition of sculptor Ingbert Brunk and painter Yorgos Papagiorgiou.
"Encounter" - the International Paros Art Circle (IPAC) exhibition opened on July 30th at the Enosi (Agricultural Union) Building on the old road to Naoussa and will run through August 20th.
